Miracle Gro Performance Organics?

Hi all,

I'm trying my first dirted tank and trying to follow the Walstad method. Will this soil work: https://www.miraclegro.com/sites/g/files/oydgjc111/files/asset_files/45015430_0129_CFL.pdf

It's the Miracle Gro Performance Organics All Purpose In-ground soil. I'd like to know if I need to try something else before I commit to it. Thanks!

I've never come across the product before, but looking at it I'd say it was a soil additive, and as such may be too strong to be used on its own; it could burn your plants roots and cause you water quality issues, longterm. What you really need is a general purpose planting compost that is safe to use in say containers etc. Or if you can get hold of it I'd go for an aquatic compost the type used in ponds.
