I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere. Once the marsilea is planted, should I cut off the four leaf clovers part of the part, so that the single lobe form grows? Or do I wait until it roots to do this? Is cutting it even necessary?(This is in a low tech tank)

Also, when planting marsilea, is it okay to cut the runners and plant it deep into the substrate?

Leave it until it roots. The terrestrial growth will die off, then you can decide if you want to trim it off.

And yes, you can cut runners and replant.
