An increase is kind of invasive for plants, they might need up to two weeks to adapt. A decrease seems to pass without much consequence though. Increases in light are best done slowly, decreases can be done fast.
If lighting are changing then it will bring the required changes in plant but when the percentage of these lighting becomes too high or too low then it starts getting dull in its look and starts getting dry....
