Would I have to add anything to the water, or would say the other 25 gallons even all the 10 gallons of RODI water out.

I want to add 10 gallons of RODI water to my change water, maybe to lower the DH KH of the water sound good?

Thanks

Jeff

What's the tank size? What's your tap KH? I have a pretty high KH of 7, and unless I have 50% RO and 50% tap I can't see my KH lower enough. That's why I just avoid using RO, too much work and no really big results (I tried to use RO for 3 months the last summer, then got back to regular tap)

Cutting say a GH/KH of 8 down to 4 with 50/50 tap/RO works well, or 1/3rd whatever you find works well.

No need to add extra to it in most cases, but check the Ca and Mg from the tap water company.

Thanks both , might just say hell with it.

Tank size 125, but might use it on the 75, I see that I can get RODI at Walmart Food store place $.38 cents a gallon so $3.80 for 10 gallons plus the bottle price of $6.00 so another $12.00 , so I won't have to hook up my RODI unit , as the wife does not want me too.:moody:
