LED lighting

    I was going to make a thread about this, but this one seems to be all serving from what Ive read on the last few pages.

    How does an LED "noob" learn what to look for in an LED fixture?

    I saw this fixture:

    And I really like the profile. A bit expensive, I could do a cheaper T5HO for almost half the price, but I do not understand how to compare this to T5HOs. Any advice or help is appreciated.

    Because T5's really do not come in 24" or less lengths, that LEd is small, and good for cubes and nano tanks.

    Pretty nice, but yes, pretty $$$

    DIY is a good way to go if you are really into saving $ and want LED.
    There are MANY DIY threads on Reef web sites.

    Most are quite good.
