I've been soaking a very large piece of Manzanita wood for over a month and it sinks very well. I want to take it out and let it sit on my work bench for a couple of weeks to play with scaping designs. It will then sit in the the tank for another 6-8 weeks for the DSM. Will it dry and become a problem or develop mold?

Hmm I don't think so, it'll just be damp in the tank, I'd say. As long as you continue opening and closing the lids for new, fresh air exchange then I believe there wouldn't be a mold issue.

Thanks. Has anyone else done this before?
