Has been quite a while.

I haven't fallen off the earth.

So my plants will be debuting at AE. Swing by the Pleco Feeder table. He is bringing a 130-140 with him.

Lab is coming along. Working to try to get set up with a wholesale distributor. Figure out some packaging ideas and hiccups. Moving forward. Buying and introducing new plants. Designing and building a laminar flow hood.

Not a lot of free time; between lab, my normal job, and now this little girl... Not thinking about posting too much.

Things are going great. And now I've got this little Ray of sunshine to look out for :) less than a day old rn. (Aeryn Lynn)

Going to be starting to fill orders. The day has finally come.

Everything will be done through Jermack Cultivated Plants. All order inquiries will be handled and fulfilled by them. I'm not going to be doing D2C sales ... But if you have a store or a website and are interested, contact them on the Jermack website. Tell them you want to know when Adirondack Aquascaping tissue culture plants are available and are interested in placing an order. If you don't own a business... Contact your favorite shops and sites and tell them to inquire about them!

Two days into my liquid media test, things are looking promising. Unfortunately, some plants I received were already contaminated in their tissue culture packaging, leading me to employ a rescue mission. One was lost in the process, but the rest underwent an isopropyl wash, bleach wash, rinsing, and were placed in my experimental media before their cubes succumbed to bacteria and fungus. The four I was concerned about turned out to be in bad shape, losing one from that batch. Additionally, I decided to salvage two cups of Glossostigma slated for disposal, which were heavily infected with bacteria. Despite a more aggressive sterilization protocol, I am cautiously optimistic after placing them on the orbital shaker in my low agar liquid media.

This experiment serves a dual purpose: testing the effectiveness of the media and protocol, and potentially saving the Glossostigma. Since Glosso can be affordable, the success of this method might extend to plants in my aquarium. Sterilizing submerged and terrestrial plant explants without harming them can be challenging. Thus, this test will not only determine the fate of two cups of Glosso but also refine the protocol for future use. In a week, I plan to transfer them back to a more solid media on the grow racks with the rest of the plants. With all my tools and glassware cleaned, I'm eager to resume multiplying after work tonight, aiming for another dozen or so.
