K2SO4 not needed?

    Hello again all!

    I read a couple posts today which said that K2SO4 is not needed. I've always thought that was one of the major macro nutrients that plants required, and I've always dosed it at the same level as KNO3.

    I checked on the EI Light (for less techy folks) thread and noticed K2SO4 is missing there as well.

    What have I missed? Is it really not needed? Why?

    Assuming these folks are dosing KNO3 which will provide the potassium
