    how do Guys test for potassium as down. Here in oz I’m unable to buy a test kit for this

    Estimation based on tap water (they will let you know the K+ levels, folks with heart issues need to know etc) and dosing.
    They make turbidity test for K+. Not many use it. K+ can be over a wide range is rarely limiting if folks dose KNO3.....

    Some add K2SO4 on top of that just in case, I've never needed to after a decade now.

    Hanna and Hach both make test kits for it.

    Thanks Tom u was advised in a post to have mine at 5ppm. So Unless i have a kit I won’t know

    As Tom said, JBL and others make tests for it. The test work all on the very same principle so it does not really matter that much which one you get, I guess.

    When testing, be careful with how you handle everything, because there is quite a bit of K+ on your hands (especially if they are a bit sweaty) usually which could skew the results.
