I have a question, my java fern leaves turn black and disintegrate, it has happened to me several times, only last the rhizome and leaves grow again.

Is it a disease? lack of nutrients?

thanks for your help

I think it's just poor conditions leads to this problem. It's probably due to a lack of nutrients. Regardless, what should happen is that new plantlets develop on these leaves and is one way the fern can propagate.
