Wow, tanks is stunning Jason! Any particular "negative" issues such as algae, etc? It looks perfect from the pics :)

    Thanks Fab :)

Nothing negative really, i had a little melt with the buce but they are growing new leaves now and the dhg started to brown after a week but same again new Growth is green.

I did expect some negative growth using just sand and no co2 but I think the fert tabs in the sand and the lite ferts in the column are doing the job.

That's great Jason. Do you happen to know your light PAR at the substrate? Curious to know that. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece of art!

Whoa! Great looking tank and layout. Curious what light(s) you are using and your only using tabs in the sand and liquid fertilizers? Impressive.

Based on the light calculator it's saying 36par so just above low tech values.

I have the 4 bulbs running but dimmed to 50% so i entered 2 bulbs instead of 4 into the calculator.

Adding a light / dimmable % to the calc is a idea for the future :) and also a message saying your light is considered low light / low to medium light / high light etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the details i use are..

    Low Light Level: 0-30 PAR

Medium Light Level: 30 PAR to 50 PAR

High Light Level: 50 PAR and above

I agree with Dutch, tank looks amazing.

How about some more pics, you shorted us on the above water pic update. Love how you are growing plants up the driftwood out of the water.

I wish more would do these types of non CO2 tanks. Certainly rewarding and easy once up and running.
