i am editor of aquazoonews from taiwan...AquazooNews
i have an article on our next issue about 11 algaes,and now need 2 picture of staghorn algae and hair algae (spirogyra).

may i use the pic from your newsletter *red alage* on our issue(or should i pay for it )?

You can use it, no problem there.
I think it's best to give the algae a common name and also reference the scientific latin name as well.

I have not identified the specific species of Caldophora, but most are branching.
Dusko has a good article and images of algae on this site and his own(do a google search and you should pull it up with his name, algae etc)
