Has any one try this yet / I see it could be added to a 1 inch System line.
I have bought a Mazzie last year an planning on using it on my new system once I control the heat issue I have . I hear others use needle wheels but can you use this on a 1 inch line system? Have any one build a 3 inch or even a 4 inch reactor an make like a Am 1000 with or without bio balls? Just trying to fig out what other option I have with a large Blue Line 55 HD pump I have?

Needle wheels work very well, a Rio 2100 and the D&T needle wheel option fro 9$ works pretty cheaply.

How would I incorpate this in to my 1 inch line system with my BL 55 HD 1100gph pump and Nu-Clear 533-547 filters? Do I do away with my Mazzie? Does it run a seprate loop? Can I change my old Mag 5 an change the needle wheel or do I need a large pump to be close to what I have now or run a reducer to the Mag 5 with a Ball Valve?
Would using a Mazzie loop and install a 3 inch reactor {like the AquaMedic 1000 CO2 Reactor but with out the co2 input and bleeder} 15 or 18 inch high with a 1 inch intake and out put break up the bubbles even more finer then the mist you get from the Mazzie loop going strait into the tank?

Ink,

You would not plumb this inline with all else...the needle wheel is separate...the advantage here is that you get extra flow with the powerhead and an ability to point it where it needs to go....

You can easily plumb your c02 delivery using true unions so that you can swap a mazzei or DIY reactor in and out as you want to experiment.

I know that some of the mag pumps now have needle wheel impellers, but unsure if these are compatible with your model.

You can just hide the pump in the tank, or cut the tips down to work in a Rio 1100.

then use that in the tank in the lower rear corner.
