Be happy to walk that someone through some illustrative examples via phone or email.

I think this screen says a lot:

Dosing 1 ppm every 4 days shouldn't cause the concentration to increase every day. Plant uptake of .20 ppm /day should cause the concentration to decrease daily, only increasing on days we dose. As should the daily 4.6% water changes cause the concentration to decrease.

Initial Concentration ppm 3
Dose ppm 1
Dose Interval (days between) 4
Plant uptake per day 0.2 ppm
Plant uptake per hr. 0.008333
Water Change Percentage 4.6%
Water change interval (days) 1

The concentration over time should look like this:

My results are available in hours, this causes the lines to have a slope to them as there are multiple points per day (6).

If I am wrong I would appreciate any corrections. Thanks

Hi @fablau

Also, I believe the Plantex CSM analysis is missing one of the nutrients, magnesium. Plantex states that 1.5% of the mix is magnesium but when I do a calculation the results do not show the magnesium. BTW, the calculator is great!

Thank you Roy for your feedback. Actually, I see the Mg component in the results for Plantex CSM+B. Am I missing anything else?

Thanks again.

Ok, try again and let me know if it works correctly now ;)

Thanks for your feedback!

It seems to work correctly now - the results pretty much match my simulations, in detail and the bigger overall picture of what should be happening.

Thanks. Glad I made the comment I wasn't sure anyone would care! Not sure if this is the same as the Zorfox site, but his is wrong too.

Hi Fab, Yes, it is in the Plantex CSM+B but I was looking at "CSM CHELATED SECONDARY MICRONUTRIENTS" is that different than Plantex CSM?

You are very welcome, no problem. The RotalaButterfly project is not related to Zorfox's even though both may use similar base codes for the calculations, hence sometimes they give the same results (and errors). RotalaButterfly was actually derived from old Wet's calculator we all used so much in the past, and it was reworked by me and Jason.

Please, keep the feedback coming, whenever I can, I'll fix any bugs and issues!

Thanks again :)

All the best,

Fab.

Ok, sorry for the misunderstanding. That'll give you just "micronutrients" compounds, therefore Mg is out (that's a macronutrient). Does this make sense?

Thanks again :)

All the best,

Fab.
