So far:
Guppy's
Neon Tetra's

Thinking of adding:
Rummynose's

Anyone else think of other fish that are peaceful and also wont be digging the ground and letting hc grow?

I dont think that guppy are a good idea for a showtank unless you use only guppies. The reason is that they are very reproductive, You will end with a tank with a lot of guppies. Al sort of tetras are ok, and there are a lot of tetra species. you can also have other small fish like pencil fish.

Pretty much any cory species will work as well.

Harlequin rasboras or cherry barbs look good in a school too.

Apistos are an option if you provide good spawning sites. If you don't, the HC may be burrowed under.

Any of the smaller, more delicate rainbow fish are stunning in a tank. Black darter tetras are similar.

A swarm of otos are always nice.

Easier to keep shrimp are great, but keep them away from apistos/rams.

There are plenty of amazing danios (celestial pearl and such) new to the hobby worth checking out.

Pencil fish (coral red, N. trifasciatus)

There's a lot out there if you go digging.

Here are two nice schooling species that you don't see everyday.
