I think my 120 gallon tank has a leak on the bottom somewhere.

Well that is also a way to sell your multi tank syndrome to your wife :)

Good luck, sucks to have leaks, period.

Well, it's not a fast leak, but in general, leaks happen and then do not fix themselves, it might be a little water dribbled under the tank/top of the stand. I'm checking now.

Large water changes= less pressur eon the bottom, so that might have allowed some of the water to leach out and come out of the edges, the refill seemed to seal things up more(less flow , but that might be just pushign the water out that was there from arms and other water dribbling down.

I'll try and get a new tank quote today from a local builder.
5/8" Starfire and not 1/2", then 20" tall, not 18".

That sucks Tom! Hope you figure it out. I've never had a leak in a tank, but my ex-wife did throw a glass through a tank...lol :sour:

Hmm, I may have to try this trick with my wife! :p

On a serious note, that does suck. I hope you determine that it is actually not a leak! When I setup my 120g a month and a half a ago after it sat in storage for 2-3 years, I was OCD about checking for leaks the first week I had water in it. Every little drop of water I saw (that apparently were not from leaks) had me checking frantically at every hour of the night for leaks. What a pain!

Well at least you took care of that, she is an ex.

Same with gals, any guy that destroys anything of yours, beats, hits a pet........get rid of the bum.

Good news, the significant other............called and told me that the tank over flowed a little because the prefilter got clogged and she fixed it.
I forgot about the residual water left over and that had gotten under the tank between the stand and the glass, this popped out when I drained most of the water/weight.

That's why it appeared to leak.

Since the tank over flowed and it ran down the sides like those zero edge tanks, the water went right in between.

Not a lot of water total......but enough to wig me out good.

So it was just a false scare it looks like.
