I have 3 plants of Hygrophila Pinnatifida.
One of them is abt.35 cms tall (aquarium height is 40 cms without taking the hood and lights into consideration). I feel its time I propogate this plant.
Can anyone help and explain how can I do it?

With other plants I usually separate (cut) the stem under the area I see new roots starting to grow.
But in hygrophila pinnatifida I do not see any new roots.
I do not want to make a mistake and damage or kill the plant.

Just got this plant about a month ago. Propagation is very straight forward, top cuttings will cause lateral shoots on the lower nodes. Top of course can be replanted. I have not tried but apparently this one will root to wood. Very lovely plant.

I believe that it also likes to send runners around the tank, especially in hi lighting

I do feel that this is a stem plant that you never see grown as a normal stem plant, probably because it looks pretty nice when its compact.
