So I wouldn't say I'm a beginner per se, but I also don't truly know what the heck I'm doing. More like an idiot savant maybe?

I have more than 20 but less than 30 aquariums from 10 to 120g, all of them planted. Arguably anyhow. I neglect a lot of them badly, (the plants... the fish and shrimp are fine,) running co2 on 4. Mostly keeping smaller fish, and lots of shrimp.

As far as plants go I've got a bit of collectoritis and I can't name more than I would like to admit.

It's possible I made an account due to boredom and some other sites being broken af right now.

I'd post a pic of my most recent tank but I'm not allowed at this point...

    20-something tanks lol. Im jealous!

What happens when you try to post a picture? You should be able to do that, unless you're just adding the link by itself without [ img] tags. I think raw links are not allowed until you have 5 posts or something like that. It's a spam deterrent.

Alternatively you should be able to use the site's attachment feature "upload a file"

Now lets see them tanks! :p

Welcome to the forum Wobblebonk. Glad to have another idiot savant with us. It takes knowledge to be able to say you don't know ;)

You will be able to post a photo after a few posts. I guess this is to avoid spam ??? Ah well. I understand your collectoritis, you get to a point where you know that plant is there in that group of aquarium in the corner but not exactly where. Hope you find enough things to do here to get rid of boredom and that you find the community here very supportive and with many experienced members. Start a journal for your aquascapes, let's see some of your tanks :D

I tried to start a journal but I can't post image links in there too so it's the best journal ever right now! If it doesn't work after this post I give up for now.

Welp.... (it was due to direct linking/new poster thing...) I'm going to start with the nonsense just to show there's a lot but I keep a few in an actually presentable state.

These are 3 cpd tanks and 1 guppy tank... photographing them with my phone is a futile effort. I do water changes but tending to the plants is rare, they're supposed to hide eggs and fry or something...

These are normally 3 quarantine tanks but I'm trying to breed neon's so there's some blackwater leaf litter nonsense going on. A convenient excuse to be lazy.

These are mostly fry growout. Sadly those are feeders on the bottom... poor guys. Some of them might be getting too big now though.
Soon going to move some cpds into the top tank to get another batch of fry going... no baby cpds survive the tanks from the video at this point. Gonna trade some for corydoras here shortly.

Showing off tanks that just get water changes w/ sponge filters and little maintenance sure is exciting huh?!

The two on the left are shrimp tanks... there's technically plants but they're not really for looking at.
The (front?) side view of one of them... I wonder why I don't show these tanks off more?! But those OEBT breed like crazy.

The tank on the right... with that magnificent patented beamswork through floating plants urine colored glow.

several 10g shrimp tanks in various states of neglect...

This bacopa beat the crap out of the floating plants for fry cover supremacy somehow. I may need to start using some of these limia nigrofasciata as feeders. Truthfully I've just been lazy and other than it looks ridiculous the other plants are mostly fine and there's 0 algae with a giant swarm of fish pooping constantly.

The white fin rosy tetras were pumping out babies and I wanted to let some cover for them develop but wow I really let this one get away from me didn't I? The lights are only that ridiculously horticultury in the morning and evening. I don't have any idea what I'm going to do with this much blyxa when I trim it this weekend. I can't put the star grass in the trash fast enough though heh. The star grass is actually just some floating remnants from when I thought I removed it from this tank but the tornado stems are easily 2' long. There are legitimately something like 50 tetras right in the middle of the picture but wow reddish tetras are ninjas under the pink glow.

These I'm tearing down and moving so I'm not sure if they count... but I've already removed most of the plants... they didn't always look like this. Holding shrimp and bn plecos right now... I suppose I can put the blyxa in these once I stop dragging ass. I'm wrapped up in some nonsense project to reprogram my hurricanex light controller.

Sometimes this is a hospital tank but it's just this mfers home for now. I should stop feeding him mollies...

Melanatania picta growout... under the beamswork pee. seems like my phone focused on the reflection oops.

I don't know what to do with this next tank there's a giant chinese algae eater the lfs tricked me into like 6 years ago... but I've had him so long. This thing was deeply rooted in 5+" of substrate :(
    [IMG]

This... probably doesn't count but this is mainly starting some different eriocaulon from seeds.
So this is a mostly fish and shrimp operation... with plants just because. The majority just get water changes most of the time and I don't really show them off generally... I don't even sell anything heh I am awful at it. Some trades here and there, but I really should start selling shrimp tetras and cpds locally or something.

I think I've showed 20 already I don't know... want more pictures of 10g shrimp tanks? ;/ Only one of those previous tanks had co2...
this is my current baby (80g frag with a 40g breeder sump.) Basically a giant shrimp tank. Many of the plants up front are just growing out there for now...

120 is undergoing a re-scape, I may start a journal for it, not sure... no spoilers yet! :O and I'm thinking about the same with another 75. I think I can keep 3 big tanks presentable... any more and I get overwhelmed :( which means I have 1 too many so I think I'm going to tear down one of the 75s and make it just a farm tank with no hardscape. Right now I'm way behind on that because I've been dicking around building lights and trying to reprogram my hurricanex to add more time periods and other nonsense. Also will be out of town for a little while soon for a friend's wedding. I'd much rather show those tanks off when I'm more on top of things but the fry tanks and such will never really look good so who cares heh. Feel free to think I only keep overgrown fry tanks.

You are going to let me post this time forum... I will it to be so!
