Hello,
I started my first aquarium more than 20 years ago. I'm now graduated in fish pathology and aquaculture, but I'm very interested in growing aquarium plants. I consider Tom one of the well informed in the field, so I want to start to post something here to grow up my culture.
I've set up several high tech tanks, but I don't like to trim the plant so often, so I have set up a new nano without CO2. I will post something about it.
regards

Isaia

Wow!!! Those Platies are in Aquaheaven!

I'd like to hear more about how you started this tank! Low tech set ups are my thing!

Welcome! And congratations to your achievement in your studies!

Good morning at all (10 am in Italy)!
Hi Rodgie, this was (now I've changed house) high tech.
The tank was 39*16*16.
3 inch of very fine silica sand with peat moss and yellow clay mixed into the lower part.
Small filter inside the tank and two small PHILIPS CDM 35 Watt inside old Duplalux. CO2 setted at 10-20 ppm
Fertilizzation: EI once to three time a week.
Too much work to cut the plants! Top school would be do it without CO2 and maybe water change!

Nice looking tank. But I am interested more with your no-CO2 tank. Did you post something about it?
