    No telling how high the bids will go. I've seen this model sell routinely for $450+ used but if anyone here is interested and lucky enough maybe that person will get one hell of a deal.

    It's a Hach DR2000 just like the one I use. This is a very versatile piece of equipment. The only way you'll get a better spectrophotometer is if you buy one from a retailer.

    Here's a reconditioned one going for $600.

    These are bit old models etc, but they do work.
    The DR2800 and DR4000 are the current models.
    The portable 850-890's are decent as well.

    That is true. But those models are a lot more expensive also. If you're patient these DR2000's are kinda like our ebay-bargain regulators. Great equipment at prices well below their value.

    The first one went for $152
