Hi, i have been reading stuff on your forum and i am interested in EI dosing which could save me alot of money especially on large tank. My problem is i live in Thailand and we dont have CSM+B here as this is what most people use for their micro fert. I have ordered it from the US at the beginning of this month but it havent arrived yet (i dont know if it will ever arrive as Thai custom are pretty slow at their work). So i went to a hydroponic farm here in Thailand and they have their micro fert use for hydroponic which is EDTA chelated. Here is the list of ingredient, copper is pretty high compare to CSM and there is nickel as well.

Boron 2%
Zinc 2%
Manganese 2%
Magnesium 4.2%
Copper 1.9%
Molybdenum 0.023%
Iron 1.8%
Nickel 0.05%

Can anyone recommend me on how to use this? They also sell only Fe EDTA which i can use to add additional Fe. Thank you so much.:D

Yes, the copper is pretty high, higher than anything I've ever seen.
You can get somethings from SG, which is not that far, there are a few other hobbyists in Thailand also, that might be better able to source the traces.
Call around and see if anyone else has low copper traces.

Hi, Tom
I have looked into alot of Singapore hydroponic website and they only sell Rexolin APN in liquid form. Cant i just use the fert mention above at a small amount for the traces and top up Fe level with only Fe EDTA?? Thanks you for your reply

Yes, you could do that, but you'd need to add about 10:1 Fe to the trace mix.

Even that, you'd be asking for it with shrimp.

Well, you can still do EI, just use a commercial brand for the trace mix is all, you can still user the Fe ETDA also.
I used Tropica Master grow for years before switching to CMS

Tom, my tank is about 2000L not including the sump, what about if i dose the fert stated above with very little amount so as not to overdose copper and top up Fe with Fe EDTA. will the shrimp in my tank be in danger?? if not can u recommend me the minimum dose please :D Thanks alot
