My 240g has been up for a few weeks, and I'm developing some long strands of green algae. I'm still trying to lock in a steady CO2 level and my new equipment has arrive so I should have that locked down. That being said, can anyone recommend a good starting point for EI dosing? 240g tank that's moderately to heavily planted with some high growth stems, glosso, ferns, and a bunch of crypts. The sump is a 35g sump. 2 - 6x39w ATI fixtures hanging around 12" above water line currently set at 2 hour ramp up to 50%, run at 50% for 6 hours, and then 2 hour ramp down. I dose KNO3, KH2PO4, and CSM+B normally, and also have Excel that I had a couple of times per week and Seachem Trace as well that I can add. Would love if someone could provide a good starting point that would hopefully work in most cases. I also dose CA and Mg after each water change.

New tank set ups are very prone to algae.

Lots of water changes, as in 2-3x a week is normal.
Maybe 1-2 months, then back off.

The algae, you can use the Algaefix and pick off all you can now, water change, then refill, then dose.
After treatment, do a big water change and do 2x a week, tweak the CO2.
The algae will return if the CO2 is poor.
