I had setup a new tank 2 weeks ago.
Low Tech, no Artificial lights, no CO2 supplement
- Plant : Glosso from Nanyang Seaview
- Soil : GEX Plant/Shrimp
- Size : 60 cm x 28 cm x 28 cm
- Light : Tropical Singapore : No artificial lights at all
- CO2 : Whatever is in the air
- Intention : Shrimp species tank with some tubiflex worms, otos, ramshorn snails and sae

First Day

Seven Days Later
-----------------
Too depressed to take picture. Initially the Glosso start sprouting new leaves. But a few days later, they all start dying.

13 Days Later
-------------
Did a re-plant with fresh glosso from same batch, but kept free floating in other tank.
Also added some Marsilea H and some Hairgrass.

The humidity is good, heat should be good and lighting from morning sun everyday for 3 - 4 hours, then normal daylight for the rest of the day.

Please make suggestions... Don't want the second batch to fail too.

Hi,

The newly transplanted plants are beside the old rotting dead (circle in red). I have not clear them out thinking that the process of rotting will release CO2 and the remains will fertilize the next generation.

TIA.

You have too much moisture in your substrate and needs to be reduced. you don't want pooling like that. Remove all traces of the dead material and try with new growth...You want humidity not water..
