Hang on overflow recommendations

What hang on overflow is best(subjective, I know)? I'm looking for something that is reliable, quiet, doesn't require a lot of maintenance and won't detract from the aquascape.

I don't use an overflow and I have no idea whats it for. Please explain I might just get one if i need it and if it's cheap. Can someone share pics of their setup? Thanks
