I raised my substrate in my tank and have seen an increase in hair algae. My photo period is the same and my planted plus has 2 window screens over it to cut the par. Can a sudden change in lighting level cause green hair algae and eventually it will balance out? Or is my par rating likely too high? All of my dosing is the same and I use excel daily

Depending on how much substrate you added, you probably capped your existing substrate and caused a recycling plus a lot of additional bacterial changes in substrate. Increase water changes should help (2 or 3 x per week). Amanos will help clean up the symptoms. Should clear up and return to the way it was over time.
