I had to move this post. I put it in the wrong place.

I got a great deal on a 36" Current Nova Extreme 4x39w T5HO fixture. One online store had a typo on the price. It was listed at $59.99 and the real price was $200 more at $259.99. Counting shipping I got it for $69.98. They honored my order and shipped it. I was really surprised. This is the best deal that I've gotten in a long time. It comes with Actinic and 10,000K bulbs. It does not have single lamp reflectors. Tom told me to just use the two outside bulbs. That's all I need. It has two ballasts. I ordered Giesemann's Midday and Aquaflora bulbs for it since I got it so cheap.

Thanks Biollante

I've read that it has some problems like a loud fan, but it has individual reflectors and this one has moonlights. That's not listed on Current's site. It's not a TEK, but it's good enough for me.

Putting a bulb on each end like Tom Suggested should work fine.

Now I have to get a 40BR and a stand. It was too good of a deal to pass up. :D

I already have either a 2028 or a 2217 for it that I can use plus some Amazonia 1, a Hydor heater and CO2 as well.

I've got a fixture based on the same design from the same company. The fan is loud in the sense that a PC tower fan is loud; it's not deafening, and it turns into background noise pretty quick.

Gieseman fixtures don't have fans and they rock, so I think you can remove it or at least change it with some 1200 rpm extra silent fans if it is standard size 12v PC fan

I don't hear my computer fan running.

Maybe the fan won't bother me. My hearing is going a bit. I hear tree frogs singing 24/7. :)

My older brother has the same problem. He purchased some $2G hearing aids that work well. I surely can't.

Thanks for this info: 1200 rpm extra silent fan if it is standard size 12v PC fan.

Thanks everyone!

They don't sell for $69.98 shipped either. LOL
