In preperation for my new larger tank shipping April 10, I've started a smaller 57 gallon. Put in aqua soil amazonia normal, have let it sit for a couple weeks doing a couple water changes. Hooked up canister fiter a week ago, and yesterday some plants. When I stuck the roots into the AS, gas bubbles (lots) were released from the AS. Upon poking around and in the AS, more bubbles rise to top. Should I be concerned?

No, this is normal, some is typical for most rich sediments.
Top soil does a lot more.

The air bubbles will work their way out sooner or later. nothing to worry about.
