as not all tanks are created equal, I have three sets of dosing instructions, these are for a high plant load, and no substrate fertilization, if you have less plants, or MTS or an aquasoil, you can dose less..
Micro
Very High Light, Pressurized Co2; 1ml for every 3 gallons of water 3 times per week
High light, CO2; 1ml for every 3 gallons of water 2 times per week
Med Light; 1ml per 5 gallons of water two times per week
Macro
Very High Light, Pressurized Co2; 1ml for every 2 gallons of water 3 times per week
High light, CO2; 1ml for every 2 gallons of water 2 times per week
Med Light; 1ml per 4 gallons of water two times per week
this is pretty heavy dosing and I do recommend at least a 30% water change weekly.. although I have done very long periods without, to test effects on plants, fish, inverts, ect and have not had any problems..
an example for dosing a 20 gal tank

Very High Light, pressurized CO2

Mon, 10 ml Macro
Tue ,10 ml Micro
Wed,10 ml Macro
Thur, 5 ml Micro
Fri, 10 ml Macro
Sat, 5 ml Micro
Sun, water change

High Light CO2

Mon, 10 ml Macro
Tue, 7 ml Micro
Wed, none
Thur, 10 ml Macro
Fri, 7 ml Micro
Sat, none
Sun, water change

Med Light

Mon, 5 ml Macro
Tue, 4 ml Micro
Wed, none
Thur, 5ml Macro
Fri, 4ml Micro
sat, none
Sun, water change

Been using these fertilizers for a couple of weeks. I am pretty new to the planted side of aquariums, but it has been a lot of fun so far. Initially I didn't have my CO2 working well and ended up with a tank with good plant growth and GREAT algae growth. Got my CO2 more consistent and as soon as I did I swear everything grew about an inch that day.

I find them really convenient to use, and everything is growing great, but I'm still having some algae problems.

I had a question about the dosing. I had been following the middle (10ml/7ml) recommendation here for high light and CO2 which adds up to 20ml of macro and 14ml of micro per week. Is there a reason not to do something like 3ml/2ml each day including water change day and just doing the little 3ml/2ml dose after the water change? It seems like then there would be less of a swing from day to day.

the directions are so you can do dosing with just one bottle per day, and then do a water change on the 7th day.. figured it would be an easy schedule, I do daily dose some of this in my tanks....

you should have no problems dosing daily : ) glad you like the product!! I would recomend dosing on different sides of the tank if doin it at the exact same time so you dont have any precipitate problems...

Thanks for letting me know how its going!!

before and after

Thanks, Mike, I'm using a disposable plastic 10ml pipette that I took home from work and dropping in 3ml of macro over the sprayout bar of my eheim so that it mixes in immediately, then I stick the pipette down in the water to kind of flush out any extra and let it all run out. I swing it around the room to get the drips out, then I drop in 2ml of micro from the pipette also on top of the spraybar from the filter and do the flush with tank water again. I figure that the macro is so mixed in by that point that I won't get any precipitate. It's the iron phosphate that people worry about, right?

Thought I'd show a before and after with 3 weeks inbetween. Note: I'm still learning and getting the CO2 dialed in, etc so these plants won't look in perfect health (the red ones are a big greener than they ideally should be, some algae, some stretching towards the light, etc). Also, from the first picture my blyxa melted and the HC and glosso were just algae and gunk traps without spreading, so I took them out, but the stem plants are going bonkers. I'm having fun learning, but it's taking a while. I also had a stint with some java moss tied to the driftwood. It quickly turned into a terrible mess. That high surface area was just an algae dream. I ripped it all off. There are still a few teensy pieces stuck to the driftwood. Maybe they'll grow out to make a nice mat, heh. I also have what looks like tiny little HC plants growing from the driftwood. No idea what they'll become.

Here's mid-January:

and here's today:

The nesaea in the back is growing straight out through the top of the tank. The ludwigia stuff in the front right is really branchy and getting too tall almost. The Limnophila and Mayaca fluviatilis on the left are hard to see in this pic, but they're a solid wall on the left. I should have actually planted the Mayaca further from the filter intake, because the fine little leaves are acting as a really good debris filter for the intake and getting gunked up.
