I made this for someone and it just wasn't what they loved. So while I try to create something different for them, you guys get a chance at a pretty sweet build.

- BOC BHT-500 (re-branded Victor HPT-500)
- Filtered, chrome plated inlet
- stainless Burkert 6011
- Parker HR series metering valve
- stainless Swagelok fittings
- upgraded stainless Wika gauges

$335 shipped in the US.

Ops... When I was trying to figure out what to ask for this unit, I was thinking of what its probably worth and not what I actually paid for everything. I think $250 shipped is a fair price.

So bump for a new price. :)

I'll take it for that.

Was looking at it going "hummm.........." nice and I do not have to build it.

Well, I guess you win some and loose some sometimes. I gotta start testing these things BEFORE I list them. I can't sell this one. The rise in pressure from solenoid open to solenoid closed is too much. (10psi in 16hrs.) That means there is a leak probably in the first stage. I base that assumption on watching the low pressure gauge rising 5psi when pressure ran out. Nuts... I'm having some bad luck lately with these things. First, my personal unit crapped outand now this. This is the first HPT-500 I had this problem with. They are normally rock solid.

Sorry to any interested parties. Tim, if I'm able to do this price again on this caliber of regulator, I'll let you know.

I am not really sure what problem you mention here, if the 1st stage don't hold pressure, might be a leak.

If the second stage pressure slowly rise but the reg at off position, you can perform the steps below:

blow clean the reg

1. regulator handle at off position
2. connect the system to the co2 tank
3. open the co2 tank, open the solenoid, open the metering valve to the max
4. turn the regulator handle at on, rise the output pressure to max
5. fast co2 blow through the regulator for 5 seconds
6. turn the regulator at off position
7. test the regulator again.

This way if there is anything stuck at the popet valve, will get blow away.
if you try it a couple times, still the same problem , nothing you can do...

I took the post body off and blasted a bunch of gas through the thing. Same result. You can hear gas hissing through the out port with the pressure adjustment screw all the way out.

Got the faulty part replaced yet? I'd like to buy at that price.

The faulty part the regulator itself. It's now sitting in a box out in the garage. I don't plan on tackling the rebuild for some time.
