Digging around Kickstarter.com today and came across this device that I thought would interest those on this forum:
    * Note - I have no affiliation with these people. I just thought some of you on here would like to know about this.

Originally designed for hydroponic system monitoring.
Will be expanded to aquatic applications.

I have not contacted these guys to ask about applications for aquariums.
I have not contacted these guys to ask about what sensors can or will be made to work submersed.
Both of these would be good to know.

    Right now it monitors:

    pH
    DO
    Water temp
    Water level
    Air temp
    Humidity
Light spectrum (don't think it is waterproof right now but could probably be DIY'ed)

    Plans to monitor:
    Nitrite
    Nitrate
    Ammonia
    Iron
    Magnesium

CO2 (I think only air based)
    Conductivity
    TDS

I know some of you have interest in some of these things and the cash to go with it.
You can get a whole suite of parameters monitored from your phone for $600!

    Pretty cool IMO.
