Anyone have Lamotte GH test kit? (Total Hardness)

Directions indicate to fill the titrating syringe (with Reagent#7 in my kit), then titrate by adding reagent until the sample turns blue. There are graduated marks on the syryinge, and one is to observe the reading at the plunger line when the sample turns color. The reading on the syringe when the color changes = total hardness in ppm.

Not clear what "fill the syringe" means? One can fill the syringe by drawing back the plunger until the plunger line reaches "0"

    or,

one can draw back the plunger further still totally filling the syringe, by pulling the plunger back (while filling with reagent) as far as the plunger will go.

The difference between the two methods of filling the syringe is about 20ppm, and the directions do not clarify. And Lamotte is closed until Monday.

    Thanks,

If interested, Lamotte said plunger should be drawn back until plunger line is at "zero".
