Lately I have been testing out just feeding my fish every other day... Monday I will feed. Tuesday I wont, then Wednesday I will, so on so forth.

Is this still ok and healthy for the fish? So far they seem to not mind...

Reason im doing this is because when I feed my fish everyday, there is always leftovers... then when you fast them for one day, they eat it all (mostly).

I've never tried alternative feeding days personally, but have you tried feeding in smaller quantities?

Yes but I don't feel they are all getting a good portion if I feed in those small amounts.

You'll be just fine, most of us over feed them any how. It's not a buffet in the wild, you take what you can get. I know most fish we've kept were tank bred and fed in the daily, but they'll adjust its in their nature.

    Update on this,
I have been doing this now since I made this post. I haven't seen any issues, any strange fish behavior, anything.
Its been going really good. I do recommend this :)
I feed 1 portion of herbivorous food & 1 portion of carnivorous food (I just call them this) every other day. So both Monday, skip Tuesday, both Wednesday, etc etc etc.
