Assuming chelated Fe falls out faster as KH rises, how long will Fe stay available in 0 KH? Is it feasible that one could dose traces once a week?

Anyone doing it now, and if so, do you see Fe deficiency?

Thank you.

Re: Fe in 0 KH

Not sure, it will last longer, but how long? It'll still fall out with high O2 etc.
I know there's a Cu table for alk and the chelator ETDA etc and perhaps other chelators etc.

Re: Fe in 0 KH

For a minute I was thinking about setting up several samples and controls, then waiting 2, 3, 5, and 7 days to titrate and measure Fe. Then that just sounded like way too much trouble :) I'll see search for sheets on different chelators vs. KH before trying this on a real tank. Thanks.
