I recently had some basic questions about the NV-55-18 needle valve, but could not find the answers online. So, I emailed Fabco and thought I would post the answers here so that the next person might just search and find it.

"I have two questions regarding my NV-55-18. This is for a CO2 application.
1) What is the function of the two screws in knob? I assume one attaches the knob and the other is a set/lock screw, but I don't know which is which.
2) Is there a recommended minimum input PSI for the most stable performance? I believe the max is 150 PSI, but I was wondering if there was a recommended minimum."

"Thank you for your request. You are correct as to the functions of the 2 set screws on the knob, the one towards the outside of the body is to attach the knob and the one towards the center of the body is to lock in place. There is no min operating pressure since this is just a needle valve. Flow is directly correlated between psi and the adjustable orifice."
