experience with rex griggs site?

    Anyone shopped with Rex and can chime in? I ordered some parts on the 5th and still have no items or email saying they were shipped or any response to my questions. Is this typical? How long did it take for you to receive your order?

    He usually tries to get things out once a week. He posts updates on his forum on his progress. He has had internet provide issues and may have lost email. His last update was from 8/8, so you should drop him an email to see.

    My experience has been he is very knowledgable, provides good stuff at a good price. He has a lot going on so service can be slow at times.

    My experience with Rex is that his weakness is the email communications he provides when you have an order in - he just doesn't provide any progress reports. I always got what I ordered, and I got it in a reasonable time, but I did find that being in a hurry was not productive. Like most of us Rex isn't perfect. Back when he started selling aquarium stuff, he had very little competition, none for some items. Today you can buy virtually everything Rex sells from other internet vendors, so if his quirks are more than you want to live with you do have options. I like sending him an order now and then, just to thank him for providing his service when no one else did that.

    thanks vaughn i guess i should have forseen the delays and shopped elseware for a few dollars more. Im going out of town this weekend and figured ordering on the 5th i had to get my items before the end of the month :(
