Most people know that last February or so ... Alan from the San Francisco Bay Area Aquatic Society took over from me the "sharing of ferts" ...
He is doing a great job now (yes, he may have stumbled early on, but who wouldn't taking on that kind of work load)!
Anyway, I don't sell ferts any longer ... this old grandpa used to donate his time bagging and shipping ferts pretty much at his cost ... and to the extent that I made any profits, they were donated to many of the aquatic plant forums and clubs including the Aquatic Plant Central forums and Planted Tank forums. That just got to be too much of a load when I went back to graduate school and still worked full time ...
Today ... this old Grandpa has finished graduate school ... and since this is an aquatic plant forum, I won't go into any details other than to say that I will be teaching Etrepreneurship and Ehics this fall at a private university...
It's a contract teaching assignment so I am not actually moving ... I am home on Fridays through Sundays and out of town Mondays through Thursdays.
But it does mean that I have scalled down to just two tanks ... and my wife wants my fish room turned back into a bedroom ...
So ... I have kept enough ferts to take care of me for the next year ... but I have two 5 pound tubs of Plantex CSM+B ...
Alan sells Plantex CSM+B for $12 a pound at AquariumFertilizer.com ...
Rex Grigg sells Plantex CSM+B for $12 a pound at his site ...
Gee - the cost hasn't gone up ... and I used to sell this for $8.59 a pound. And I seem to remember Alan catching flack and grief for raising prices so he could actually make a small profit. So if you were to buy 5 pounds from either of these two guys, it would cost you $60 plus shipping ...
So here is the deal.... I have two 5 pound tubs of Plantex CSM+B ...
I am going to "auction" each of them off here in this thread. Minimum bid $50 - shipped to anywhere in the continental USA, Hawaii, or Alaska. It will arrive in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box....
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Aquatic Gardener's Association when they hold their next convention ...
But to make it a little sweeter ... I will stuff the box with at least a couple pounds of other miscellaneous ferts to fill the box up ...
The highest bidder can choose one or two tubs ...
Remember, 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Aquatic Gardener's Association's next conference ...
Thanks,
Greg
