i have a 4x2x2 that is going to be a low light with co2 and just cant get my head around how much to dose,i no i should set my stall out and go full, half or whatever but would like to know what other people would do?
The tank will also have wormcastings and kitty litter as substrate.

    Hi,

Why not start with 40-50% of basic EI for your size tank and see how that goes..

Based on many other factors and your goals, you may dose only once or twice per week. The wormcastings will help long term in reducing the need for water column dosing.

    Hope this helps.

The goal for the tank is for low maintenance,so no stems at all, just ferns, bolbitus, anubias and a few crypts and maybe tennelus or hairgrass foreground with cyperus helferi in the background.

I would dose full EI then as water column dosing seems to be vital with your plant selections.....

You can always decrease slowly over weeks and if no adverse effect, lower a bit more..

Try only twice per week say and see how it goes...

Your tank sounds much like mine in terms of goals and plant species.

Best of luck. Post some pics when you can.

I do ship to the UK, but it's a fair amount to make it worth folk's while.
