When I first got it, I forgot to adjust the flow and it made a lot of noise.
It was working, but I was getting lots of bubbles and that sucking sound.
Crap! I bought two of these sight unseen. :emptiness:

So when I installed the second one, I wasn't sure of what to expect.
Only this time the flow rate was set to reduce the amount of flow.
And, when I started it up I was stunned - no noise, no bubbles and no more surface scum. :love_heart:

I might only run it at night but first I'll try using it during the day while my CO2 is running. It is possible that I will need to run more CO2 during the day but it's also possible that the 350 makes it easier on the fish when I do. It is kind of like having a small sump overflow in your tank.

    Co2 outgassing

I did check my Ph meter. It didn't show any thing more than a usual hourly variation. I think the overall volume displaced by the little thing is small enough and that it doesn't cause much splashing if tuned down to a lower setting. IMO doesn't do much Co2 out-gassing.

But I will observe further over the next few days...

Mine also did a good fizzy act in the beginning till i read the leaflet and realized it could be set lower!

    Regards,
    AR

I wasn't personally selling these, but the shop I was working with still has more, but they are now full price ( no discount). It's still cheap, though. Mine has been working flawlessly since I installed it. I did have some RCS inside the unit on the sponge filter, but unlike the Vuppa, they were okay. The vuppa chops RCS up and clogs, which reduces flow.

I just ordered one from web page above. They are 24$ and shipping to my location was 8.90$ via UPS.
Just spoke to them on a phone. 888 785 2193. Indiana based aquarium supply online store. They have got plenty left.
    Paid with paypal.(double protection).
Check out their prices on other plant care products.

So you're paying $33 to your door for that unit. That is a better price than what Trilby is currently offering. As more distributors have these units, the price will go down. I've sent the link to Trilby to see if they can work with their price a bit now that more people have them. I paid $34.99 plus $4 shipping for mine with the SFBAAPS discount, but we were some of the first to receive these units in the USA. Trilby was the first shop to ship these out to US residents who preordered. Now all the distributors have it. It's a matter of finding the best price and buying from there.

That's below dealer/distributor wholesale here in the USA. Also the site kinda looks shady, so use paypal.

I have missed out on trilbit deal which was excellent and paying close to 50$ prompted me to do a little research.
Since their customer service seemed nice and paying with paypal is one of their main check out options I felt safe to order it.
I certainly do not recommend to order it at this stage but I will update you about the condition I will receive it, if I receive it.
In order corfirmation email they stated that it will be shipped within two business days and I will receive email with tracking number.
Today, friday is a day one. Hopefully it`s shipped on monday.
    Wait for updates.

It's always a good idea to shop around. When I started this thread, there weren't any other options. No one had these units because they hadn't been released yet in the USA. That said, everyone has them now. What a luxury! Go with the cheapest seller, but be sure to figure in shipping and make sure to buy from a reputable site.

Had to have been a mistake or just marketing. Either way, you were one of the lucky ones!
