    Matt,

    Two questions please...

1). WHY have you had so many regulators? They can't all be for personal consumption :)

2). What does your significant other think of your obsession, er hobby? lol

Very nice rigs and builds. Interesting to see the various models and configurations...It will also serve as a nice guide to compare against when looking to purchase a reg for our purposes...sort of a rogues gallery :)

    first accomplishment.
    Just finish yesterday.

Harris 9296, Parker skinner B series solenoid and Hoke 2300 series metering valve.
Heavy, the 5LB tank is actually lean on the stool to prevent tip over.

    LoL!

    1) I sold most of my personal stash except for the ones in the pictures (post #1) and the few that I am aquiring (one GPT270 and the SGT160). I love the Victor 500 series regulators, so I'm keeping one of each variety (chrome plated, brass, and stainless).

I also like strange models (off the beaten track). The SGT 160D that I picked up is actually the "father" of the SGT500 (pre-1995). Stainless inside and out.

    2) She's okay with it so far. She knows I like tinkering with mechanical things. Less expensive hobby than working on cars, and I can do it indoors.

My first build in the making, a Scott 18A. I say first, because I agree with Matt, it's kind of fun to build stuff, and if you're mechanically inclined, it might be intrinsically rewarding to help those who are not[attachment=825:name].

More pics to follow, awaiting my Swagelok & Ideal packages to arrive.

Nice clippard solenoid, you must figure out how to connect it to the regulator.

there is an connector 10-32 to 10-32 hex to replace the hose between the 15490-2 and the NV-55

To make a mouse valve fit, 15490-2 is the key, but for any not M(manifold unit) mouse valve, metal tube connection is the key.

Clippard makes a manifold with 1/8" coaxial mpt which would fit directly on the reg. The barb would then screw into the side of the manifold.

I'm not a big fan if that 10/32x10/32 fitting(the brass one). I've broken two of those things. I feel much safer with the barbs at this point. There is a SS coupling that's probably stronger but it reqires locktight. They are harder to come by.
