This my first post in this forum. I recently setup a 50 gal tank (4 days old) with aquasoil and haven't started dosing anything yet. I went through various dosing methods, but please give me a clear guide of what to dose with aquasoil. I have heard that aquasoil leaches ammonia and nitrate a lot for first few days, so i am kind of confused what dosing guide i should follow. Want to a proper guide on macro and micro dosing, when and what amount.

Water change 50-80% every 2-3 days or about 3x a week.

You can dose EI or a modification thereof.
You are doing large water changes anyway for the 1st 1-2 months, then you go to weekly water changes.
Likely be fine with 1/2 EI for the 1st 6 months, then go full EI after.

It is very common practice to do much water changes during the first week(s) with soil, but it is not always necessary and may depend on the soil+how much plants you insert. I cycled 2 new ADA tanks without doing so many major water changes. In both cases no problems occur and also the New Amazonia had not maked the water any cloudy. Iif you have enough good ("growing") plants they will suck the Ammonia quickly (and later the nitification bacterias will take care off it)

Some soils also bind/suck during the first weeks some Potassium, Phosphate and perhaps few other ferts, too.
Mostly this happens with lean soils that have only less nutritions onboard (like ADA Africana, some Bee soils and such stuff). In such cases it may be sometimes necessary to dose from some nutritions a little bit more then usual.
