I am dosing every 2 days
Flourish nitrogen = 20ml
K2S04= 5 Grs (dry)
KH2P04= 0.2 Grs (dry)
And Flourish 3ml 2 x a week.

My aquarium is 40G
2.5 WPG
Pressurise CO2

N03 = 5/10 ppm
PO4 = 0.5 ppm
PH = 7
KH = 12

Water change 30% weekly.

Are those dosage all right my nitrate seam very low (might be my test kit) with the quantity of Flourish nitrogen I add. Should I change some thing?

Thanks.

Re: dosing fert

If you're dosing dry ferts, why aren't you dosing KNO3?

Anyway...according to Seachem you're dosing right. $.02

Re: dosing fert

Because I am currently living in Cyprus and KN03 can not be send via airmail. I will have to try to find some over here.

Re: dosing fert

That makes sense.

As far as the Flourish N goes, you could ask in the seachem section at APC to see if you can go higher or if all of the N is from NO3. It's possible there are other N sources in Flourish that won't register on a nitrate kit.

Re: dosing fert

From Seachem's website:

"Because one-half of the nitrogen in Flourish Nitrogen™ is from nitrate you can get a reasonable estimate of nitrogen levels by doubling a nitrate reading"

This of course assumes that your nitrate test kit is giving correct readings...
