hi guys, i have got some dry ferts to make stock solution for dosing in my tanks.
here are the ferts that i got
KNO3 40 Gm
KH2PO4 10 Gm
K2SO4 20 Gm
MgSO4 20 Gm
CSM+B 15 Gm
Chelated Iron (EDTA) 15 Gm

and i have dissolved KNO3, KH2PO4, K2SO4, CSM+B in separate bottles 500ml each.

Now my questions are:
1). In how much water should i dissolve Chelated Iron (EDTA) and MgSO4.
2). How much to dose everyday and when to dose them? I want to know according to EI dosing, i read the whole article but don't know why it went above my head:rolleyes:

Tank dimensions are 2*1.5*1.5 ft for more information please see the tank journal Jungle Tank

Thanks

Well, I have my solutions dissolved by volume (fractions of teaspoons) rather than mass, and standard, rather than metric, measurements, so I'm not sure how much I can directly help you. That is, you'll have to do some math if you want this to mean something.

But here it is: I've found that the basic recommendations for a 20-40g tank, per dose, is close to the max that will dissolve into 1oz. Meaning, 1/4tsp KNO3 and 1/16tsp KH2PO4, plus maybe 1/16tsp GH Booster, will all dissolve into 1oz of distilled water. I keep my CSM+B and iron in a separate container, but they're dissolved at well below the maximum. However, 1oz across the board is easy to remember, so 1/16tsp CSM+B and about 1/32tsp chelated iron are in each ounce. For my 20 and 25g tanks, I use a bit less than an ounce, and for my 30g, I use one ounce, all 3x per week.

This may or may not help. But good luck.
