You're just kidding, right?

No comment Tug. It was my mistake to start a thread about voting and such.
I hope you do not mind but, I will not discuss politics. Yeah, I should have known better:)

The "Vote" part is good.

Vote Plant!
Vote for the environment!
Vote for fish.

I hope the ones who won the election would protect the environment - they need to learn how to protect the environment.

Therein lies the one of the main issues, is it good for business to do so?
Over the short term?
No, not much.
Over the long term?
Definitely.

Humans are lousy at long term focus.
History does not lie.

However, is environmental business and greener methods, industries available and is there a good market for these?
Defintiely.

Even big old much hated "WalMart" now is the largest seller of organic and natural products.
We use to do all sorts of bad for the enviornment things.

Trash, recycling, water use, cleaner cars etc............back in the old days, LA was fricking nasty, you could never see the mountains, oleander would not even grow!
Recycling is a multi billion dollar industry, green compost waste is gaining rapidly, restoration ecology is making huge gains, trails for rails, road side landscaping usign natural communities as models etc.............

Leave the place better than when you first saw it.
Strip mining, clear cutting, netting every last sardine, milking every last drop and stymying another new competiting technologies and businesses.............all are based on short term bad management.
A little business ethics will still make you rich, and still do the right thing.

Still, folks can change attitudes and do good things faster than anything else.
Nature will bounce back at some point..........we.....will not.
So it only helps ourselves to take care of this Eden.

You would not like it if someone trashed your home, why do it to others?
