Do these parameters sound alright?

Just used a test strip and here are my readings. How do i switch ppm kh and gh to the degree number.

Specs:::

No3 = 40ppm
GH = 300ppm
KH = 200ppm
ph = 6.8

High, low?

Thanks

GH and KH are not at all critical, so I just divide ppm by 20 to get a rough estimate of degrees of hardness. I can easily do that in my head. You have hard water.

I doubt that your KH is that high, which makes me doubt that your GH is that high either. If your KH was that high I would expect your pH to be higher. I suspect the problem is using test strips to measure those values. Test strips are very crude estimates, not measurements. It is hard enough to trust a test kit measurement of KH, pH and GH, without calibrating the kits, but using test strips is basically just guessing.
