Hi Tom, In India, no branded Trace Mix is available for planted tanks. So we used to use an Agriculture grade Trace Mix (Microsol-B/Fetrilion-Combi) along with an Iron Suppliment (Fetrilon(13% chelated Iron)). But now a days, that company went crap and screwed up the quality. So I was wondering if we can make our own trace mix.

Which all the chemicals I need to use to make the Mix?
How much we have to mix together and how much to dose?

I am looking for a Trace Mix as well as a separate Iron Mix.

Here is the Trace Mix composition in Fetrilion-Combi

Iron 4%
Zinc 4%
Manganese 3%
Copper 0.5%
Boron 1.5%
Molybdenum 0.05%
Magnesium 2%
Sulphur 2.8%

Please suggest.

Tropica Master Grow contained: K 0.79%, Mg 0.39%, S 1.01%, B 0.004%, Cu 0.006%, Fe 0.07%, Mn 0.04%, Mo 0.002% Zn 0.002%. HEEDTA and DTPA as chelators. This is from: Tropica Fertilizer. I didn't keep looking, but I recall that "the Krib" also has the constituents of Plantex CSM in one of the posts there.

This is fine,m if you can find some Iron chelate alone, add about 1:1 ratio with this product, then add about 5grams of this to 500ml of DI water.
You might need to add a little HCL acid, say 1 ml of 9 Molar HCL.
