DIY root fertilizer

    Can we put osmocote in gelatin capsuls for human consuption and place them in supstrate who is over one year old?I think(dont know just think:rolleyes: ) some spices of plants wood benefit from this treatment even we use EI.Is there any way to make DIY micros for older supstrate enrichment?Is there any other procedure we could use(freezing or something)?What micros can we use for experiment(brand,chelators...)If somebody have ask this before please give me link to thread.

    Osmocot alone is fine, no need to put osmocoat in anything, it will last about 6 months or so. Same for ADA AS and many other sediments, they lose their initial spike which gets many interested in using them, but by then, the plants have grown in well and detritus and other sources are adding to the sediments.

    You can get dirt cheap root tabs at local koi pond stores/reg pond supply stores. I found a bottle of 72 pellets (dime size round/half inch tall) for $12.

    I dont have koi store in country.I will try osmocote in to substrate.Maby will try to put some dry micros in little clay just for curiosity.Thank you for help, if something interesting come from experiment I will lett you know.
