I have followed a introduction how to make 4dkh with smaller amount of distilled water and baking soda.

i got to 150ml of distilled water and tiny bit of bi-carb soda(baking soda). I have api and Hagen kh/gh test. Both confirm 4 drop turn yellow (4dkh).

But when i pour into my glass checker and afew drop of ph test should turn yellow to nice blue. Mine doesnt turn yellow to blue. Just light blue and bit dark blue!

What am i doing wrong!? So i took that solution to my local fish shop. Using their api ph test liquid. Same!!

Does it need to turn from yellow to blue? I am injecting 3bps in my 90cm tank. The blue doesn’t change.

All good. It works. I have done the test. So in the future if anyone want to know if their checker solution works or not. U need to take the co2 line directly blow bubble below the glass checker. Then it will change to greenish yellow.

    cheers
