I would like opinions on the necessity of using various forms of Fe. I have a 57 gallon aquarium planted heavily with Rotala Macandra Red and Rotala Green. The foreground consists of Crypt Wendii and some variety of dwarf grass, some echinodorus species I think. My water has a kh of 5 and gh of 10. As far as iron goes, I dose .25 ppm from CSM+B and .06 ppm of DTPA 10 % daily. I'm basically using EI Daily from Wets calculator.

Anyway, the question is, since I dose daily, is it still important to add DTPA if I'm adding EDTA daily in my water parameters? I know EDTA won't last that long at certain hardness of water but, I'm dosing daily.

Likely not, but DTPA is good all around for the hobbyists.
