Having problems with diatoms. Since the tank is semi-outdoor, it is getting some weak light. 1 hour 4-5 pm dusk tropical sunset light. I have ( a wall is open ) and the we get weak light 8 am to 5 pm. I have diatom on glass and plants but the sunset hygrophila isn't affect too much. Other plants are pearlweed which didn't grow much. Hygrophila corymbosa is covered in diatoms. alternanthera reinecki too.

Can this tank benefit with a dose of glutereldahyde to kill diatoms ?

No Fish as I was focusing on plants first.

another forum said too lower the lights since it was led floodlamp. 50x2 in 70 gallon. I also detect green algae in glass super tiny amounts. I have co2 tank but the can't get a bubble per second reading but will can that monday plus a drop checker coming in 2 weeks. Lights on a timer 9 am - 5 pm but will change it to 11 am - 5 pm. if that is feasible?

Fertilizer will follow tom barr schedule.

Thanks :)
