Hi all,

On my quarantaine tank I have some plants that get white new growth. It's a non CO2 tank and I'm doing EI. I'm also using Excel. To be sure I measured the values with calibrated tests.

pH=7,5
KH=6
GH=9
NO3=25
PO4=1
Fe=0,5
NO3 of 25 and PO4 of 1 should give me around 10 ppm of K+.

I was thinking of a Ca deficiency but since I use the same water on both my tanks both should have the same problem. But they don't. Anyone recognize this?

thanks
dutchy.

Not Calcium...

Hi Dutchy,

That really does not look like Calcium deficiency to me, usually would have deformed growth.

If anything, it appears more like iron or Magnesium deficiency.

The more I look at the picture the less sure I am, perhaps another photo or two.

Another look and I am thinking sulfur.

Just dose more of everything! :gw :eek: :eek:
